J. D. Taylor Dead

John David Taylor died at his home at McLarty on Route 1, Horton, Early Monday morning following a stroke of paralysis about a week earlier. Although this was the second stroke, Mr. Taylor seemed to be completely recovered from the first stroke.

The deceased who was seventy four years of age was reared in the Royal Community, but moved to McLarty many years ago and remained there until death. He was a good man, one who attended to his own business, always giving the other person the benefit of the doubt and never listening to gossip.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Susie Helms Taylor, four sons, Henry, Homer, Houston and Jay Taylor and one daughter, Mrs. Zella Currey, all Of Rt. 1, Horton. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Gilliland at Nixon Chapel Tuesday at 2:00 o'clock, Isbell, of Albertville was in charge of funeral arrangements.
