Etowah County Court Clerks

A courthouse visit is essential for those doing research in Alabama as there is no effective substitute for an on-site search of county courthouse records.  County level records have not been centralized.

Court records are at the district court in Gadsden.  Land and probate records are also there.

Don't waste your time or postage -- be sure to call the clerk's department to confirm hours, mailing address, fees and other specifics before visiting or requesting information to ensure none of the information has changed.
