Brian Heyrman
(March 14, 1980 - February 19, 2007)

Van Meer

Brian James “Bub” Heyrman, age 26, of Hilltop Road, Munising died on Monday morning February 19, 2007 at Marquette General Hospital the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on February 12th in Munising. Bub was born on March 14, 1980 in Munising and was the son of Frank and Lana (nee Shepley) Heyrman. He attended Munising Public Schools and was a lifetime area resident. Bub enjoyed hunting bear, birds, and deer. He could sit patiently for hours while he fished. He was a great mechanic and was always busy fixing snowmobiles, motorbikes, and cars. Bub was a cook at the Bear Trap where he was the “rooster in the henhouse” with the girls that worked there. You rarely found Bub without a phone in his hand and lots of numbers in his book. He was the kind of guy that would be there in the drop of a hat to help someone in need. Bub really loved spending time with his girls Rebecca, Katie, and Brianne.

He is survived by his daughter – Brianne Heyrman; parents – Frank and Lana Heyrman of Van Meer; brother – Frank Heyrman III of Van Meer; sister and brother-in-law – Carol and Larry Tweedale of Munising; nieces and nephews – Chelsey and Tyler Tweedale and Hailey and Frank Heyrman IV; stepdaughters who called him Herman – Becca and Katie; great-grandmother – Winnie Shepley of Munising; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his longtime best friend – Tara Gilbert. Bub was preceded in death by his grandparents – Vivian Shepley, Frank and Margaret Heyrman, and Roy Shepley.

Visitation will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Fr. Chris Gardiner will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Munising. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising. Following the Mass, a fellowship gathering will be held at the Bear Trap. Bub will be escorted by “his” Bear Trap girls – Donna Johns, Annie McNally, Elizabeth Gage, Jen Nevin, Heather MacArthur, Courtney Ollila, Maria Murdock, and Erica Tweedale.
