Elizabeth Prunick
(February 8, 1928 - August 8, 2006)
 

Munising

Elizabeth “Betty” Prunick, age 78, of 200 W. City Park Drive, Munising, died Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 10:15 p.m. at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising following a six month illness. She was born on February 8, 1928 in Limestone to the late August and Ellen (Johnson) Magussson. Betty graduated from Eben High School. In September 1948, she married Walter Prunick. They were married over forty-five years when he preceded her in death on June 26, 1991. Betty was a member of the Eden Lutheran Church. She was always available to bake and help out anyway she could for the church. She also participated in ministry of caring for those who were at the nursing homes with the Pastors of the church. Betty was a past member of the Women of the Moose, bowled in the Friday night bowling league, and loved playing Smear on Tuesday nights at the Country Connection. She was a homemaker and retired from Food Services of the Munising Public Schools. Betty loved cooking, baking, her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law – Sharon and Jim Seaberg of Munising; her son and daughter-in-law – Brian and Sherri Prunick of AuTrain; grandchildren – Jim Seaberg, Dean (Rita) Seaberg, Jason (Nikki) Prunick, and Jessica Prunick; three great-grandsons – Wyatt, Luke, and Dylan Seaberg; brother – Lawrence (Viola) Magnusson of Munising; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, brothers Lester and Louis Magnusson, and a sister Ruth Tripp.

Betty’s funeral services and visitation will be held at the Eden Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 12, 2006. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Lynn Hubbard will conduct her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Limestone Township Cemetery in Limestone on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
