Geraldine F. Rausch

Geraldine “Nana” F. Rausch, age 75, of Munising, died Thursday evening, August 7, 2008 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born on February 12, 1933 to the late Grace and Orville Poole in Delaware, Ohio. Geri married John R. Rausch on July 29, 1950, and together they raised their seven children. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, playing bingo, and going to bible study at the Jericho House. Most important to Geri was her family, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Geri is survived by children – Lori Monroe (Keith Zellner) of Munising, Jerry Rausch of Boot Lake, Pam (Tom) Gould of Shingleton , Kathy (Roy) Helms of Dublin, OH, and James Rausch of Bellefontaine, OH; brother – Mike (Karen) Rengert of WI; sisters – Opal Ott of WI, Janet (John) Bland of OH, and Mary Ann (Jim) Elwood of OH; grandchildren – Kyle, Tyler, Jamie Diane, Jennifer, Heidi, Jack, Heather, Chad, Kari, Jim Jr., Johnathan, Dianna, and Alisha; nineteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1985, daughter Grace Roxine, son John “Robin”, and son-in-law Kim Monroe.

Geri’s services will be on Monday, August 11, 2008 at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m., and Deacon James Anderson will conduct her funeral service at 5:00 p.m.
